Meetups
-------

### Lets talk gobernanza - 29 Oct.

In this meetup, we went over the current state of the governance system across the ecosystem, discussed about the steps that have been taken by some protocols in terms of minimizing the importance of governance processes and even how some are looking to reduce DAO’s participation and funding.

Shared thoughts on what the future holds and what the correct course of action should be in terms of guaranteeing that all protocols meet the principle of decentralization at the same time that the business models are successful.

### Meetup Post Devconnect - 6 Dec.

Some of the Devconnect attendees from our community gave a recap of the event. We discussed the Invisible Garden experience, long-term learning opportunities for devs, and hackathon participation. It was interesting how this experience allowed for future iniciatives as some partnership opportunities and new projects were discussed, as well as new products from the Ethereum ecosystem which could be promoted for adoption in Tegucigalpa.

Online spaces
-------------

### Catrachos to Devconnect

We had a fair number of Hondurans traveling to Devconnect, with many of them attending their first Ethereum event. We wanted to prepare them so they could take full advantage of the event and their time.

The format of the event was quite simple; we had some senior community members sharing their experiences and tips from previous events, and we also shared the list of events and the Devconnect calendar.

Tips, checking out the events and Q&A to cover their bases from travel and housing info to details about the event sponsors and formats.

Bootcamps
---------

### Faculty Workshop “Adoption & Academia: Blockchain, Ethereum and Web 3”

[Ethereum-adopción y academia 2025](https://www.canva.com/design/DAG0e-dn5qc/Oe-czP-ivvQpILRz9nB55g/edit?utm_content=DAG0e-dn5qc&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton)

Ethereum Tegucigalpa was invited to give a workshop at UNITEC’s Innovative Education annual congress. It was a brief but resource-filled workshop for university faculty from different fields. 20 plus attendees got a recap of Ethereum, focused on how it can be incorporated in their classrooms, research, and social projects as part of their academic life.

### **Taller POAP**

A collab with Club de blockchain UNITEC to teach university students use POAP badges in their events.

Scholarship Program - Devconnect 2025
-------------------------------------

Aimed at ensuring Honduran participation in Devconnet, a program organized by Ethereum Tegucigalpa throughout 2025; a portion of the Scholarship Program funds was allocated to the winners of the Best Project at ETH Jaguar 2025, as well as to individuals who stood out for their active participation and meaningful contributions on the _Road to Devconnect Buenos Aires_ activities.

Additionally, thanks to collaborations with various protocols, one community member was awarded a scholarship from Scroll to attend the event in Buenos Aires.

As in previous years, and in order to maximize available resources, Ethereum TGU managed a Hacker House, enabling more Honduran participants to benefit from shared accommodation during Devconnect, held from November 16 to 22.

As a result, a total of 10 Hondurans were successfully supported in their participation at Devconnect Buenos Aires 2025.

**Breakdown of beneficiaries:**

* Ethereum TGU Hacker House: 10 participants

* Ethereum Tegucigalpa – Travel tickets: 3 participants

* Scroll – Partner Scholarship Program: 1 participant

University collabs
------------------

### Information Stand - Innovative Education Congress

As part of the University Congress hosted by UNITEC, Ethereum Tegucigalpa set up a stand for students, faculty and the general public to learn more about Ethereum and the work we carry out in Tegucigalpa.

### Climathon by Impact Hub UJCV

A two-day event organized in a university setting featured innovative projects aligned with environmental preservation, and adopting new technologies was a success, with more than 30 projects. Some of them included the use of blockchain.

Devconnect Buenos Aires 2025
----------------------------

We had a total presence of 19 Honduran members from Ethereum TGU at Devconnect. The diversity of profiles was remarkable, with several participants focusing on developer-related topics, while others concentrated on community engagement and connections.

A few of the Hondurans gave a talk, participated in Invisible Garden, and won prizes at ETH Global.

Governance
----------

Continued our work within Scroll DAO and, since late September, began participating as members of the Governance Council, where we are responsible for helping design the framework for the DAO’s next iteration.

As part of the Governance Council, we participated in Scroll DAO Day at Devconnect, where we shared updates on ongoing governance work with attending delegates. We also took part in Governance Day organized by SeedGov at Devconnect, contributing to and learning from the different governance-focused discussions.

In addition, we actively participated in the co-creation process through sprint calls, attending an average of four calls per week. Our work within the Governance Coordination Committee (GCC) included drafting proposals related to budget allocation and work distribution under the new governance model.

We also began engaging with governance processes in other ecosystems, including Cryptex and Arbitrum.

### How does [ether fi](https://x.com/ether_fi) work and why might it be useful in contexts where traditional financial access is limited?

In this article, Etherfi is explained as an easy-to-use **crypto “neobank”-style platform** that lets you save, earn interest, spend, and borrow with your crypto while keeping full control of your assets on the blockchain — especially useful in regions where traditional banking falls short. Offering things like **staking** and **liquid DeFi strategies** to grow your holdings and even a **Visa-compatible card** with cash back you can use anywhere. The idea is to make earning and using crypto simple and flexible for everyday users.

### **Ethereum, blockchain y Web3 :** The extracurricular experience that empowers your future.

An introductory guide for university students about Ethereum, blockchain, and Web3, as part of a new wave of technology that lets people build apps and digital services without relying on big companies or intermediaries. Providing tips and resources to learn about smart contracts, which power things like DeFi and NFTs. A brief explanation of how online communities can have more control. For university students, learning these basics can open doors to new career paths, global opportunities, and hands-on projects beyond traditional tech roles.
